EnduraFlap.com Terms & Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 26, 2025

Hi — we’re Endura Flap, based in San Luis Obispo, California.
We engineer and build the world’s most energy-efficient pet doors. This page outlines the terms of buying factory-direct from us, how we handle your data, and the rules of the road.

This page explains:

  • what information we collect (and why),

  • how orders, returns, and warranties work, and

  • the rules that apply when you use our website or buy from us.

We believe policies should be clear, fair, and readable by actual humans — not just lawyers. So we’ll explain things plainly, without hiding the important stuff.

By using our website, placing an order, submitting content, or contacting us (by phone, chat, or email), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. Privacy Notice — what we collect and why

Short version: we collect what we need to run the business, support you properly, and improve the experience — nothing more.

Longer version below.

What we collect

  • Contact & delivery info: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address

  • Order & service info: what you bought, warranty registrations, returns, and support history

  • Website activity: IP address, browser/device info, cookies, pages viewed

  • Communications: emails, chats, photos or videos you send us (especially for install help)

  • Calls & chats: recordings if we monitor or record (see Section 8)

  • Approximate location: inferred from IP (usually for tax, shipping, and site settings)

  • General preferences: patterns that help us understand what’s working and what’s confusing

Where it comes from

  • Directly from you (checkout, forms, support requests, reviews)

  • Automatically (cookies and similar technologies)

  • From service providers that help us operate (Shopify, NetSuite, shipping carriers, analytics and advertising platforms)

Why we use it

  • To process orders, payments, and shipments

  • To provide customer support and warranty service

  • To keep our systems secure and prevent fraud

  • To improve our website, products, and instructions

  • To measure advertising performance (and personalize ads where allowed)

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and we limit access to people who actually need the information to do their jobs. No system is perfect, but security is something we take seriously.

How long we keep it

  • Orders & warranty records: up to 7 years

  • Customer support records: up to 3 years

  • Analytics & advertising data: up to 2 years

After that, data is deleted or anonymized unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

International users

If you’re outside the U.S., your data may be processed here. Where required (such as the EU/UK), we rely on approved Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You can ask for details at privacy@enduraflap.com.

2. Advertising & measurement (how people find us)

We use advertising platforms like Google and Meta so people who need a better pet door can actually discover us — and so we can see what marketing is working (and stop what isn’t).

Remarketing (the required notice)

  • Third-party vendors (including Google) may show our ads on other websites

  • Those vendors may use cookies or device identifiers based on past visits to our site

Customer Match / audience matching

Sometimes we share limited customer information (like an email address or phone number), typically in hashed or pseudonymized form, so we can:

  • show relevant ads (for example, accessories that match your door), or

  • avoid showing ads for products you already bought

A few important things:

  • We don’t sell customer lists

  • We only use data from your direct relationship with Endura Flap

  • Advertising platforms don’t send your personal contact information back to us

Consent

Where required by law (including EEA/UK/Switzerland), we obtain consent before using data for personalized advertising or audience matching.

Offline purchases

If you research online and later order by phone, permitted identifiers may be used to properly attribute that sale for marketing measurement.

3. Your rights & choices

Your data is yours. Here’s how you control it.

Marketing preferences

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email

  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents may:

  • request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information

  • opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising

  • use Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals, which we honor where required

We do not sell personal information for money, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.

International rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, deletion, or objection to processing).

How to submit a request

Email privacy@enduraflap.com. We may verify your identity so we don’t hand your information to the wrong person.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

4. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tools for three basic reasons:

  • Essential: cart, checkout, login, security

  • Performance: understanding how the site is used

  • Advertising & measurement: measuring ad effectiveness (and personalizing where permitted)

We may also use server-side measurement to improve reliability, while honoring applicable consent and opt-out signals.

Controls: (Copy and Paste links)

  • Browser cookie settings

  • Google Analytics Opt-Out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

  • Interest-based ads: https://www.youradchoices.com/

  • Google Ad Settings: https://www.google.com/settings/ads

5. Orders, shipping & cancellations

Order confirmation means we received your order request — not that it’s guaranteed to ship. We may cancel orders due to inventory issues, payment problems, verification needs, or suspected fraud. If we do, you’ll receive a refund to the original payment method.

Shipping estimates (typical):

  • U.S. Standard: 3–7 business days

  • U.S. Expedited (if offered): 1–3 business days

  • International: 7–14 business days, plus customs delays

International customers are responsible for duties, taxes, and import requirements.

6. Returns & refunds

90-Day Return Window

Most unused, undamaged products may be returned within 90 days of delivery.

Custom-made products are not eligible for return.
Items significantly damaged by pets or misuse are also non-returnable.

Minor testing (such as a temporary fit check) does not automatically void eligibility if the item is returned in acceptable condition.

How returns work:

  • Request an RMA by contacting customerservice@enduraflap.com or (800) 826-2871

  • Ship within 14 days of RMA issuance

  • Include all original components

Refunds are issued within 7–10 business days after inspection. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
A 15% restocking fee may apply to incomplete, altered, dirty, or discretionary returns.

Shipping damage must be reported within 7 days with photos.

7. Warranty & installation

Installing a pet door is a permanent modification to your home. If you’re not comfortable with tools or construction, we strongly recommend hiring a qualified installer.

All Endura Flap products include a 1-Year Limited Warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

The warranty does not cover improper installation, unauthorized modifications, pet damage, weathering, normal wear-and-tear, labor costs, or purchases from unauthorized resellers.

Warranty claims typically require proof of purchase and photos or videos and are reviewed within 10 business days.

Endura Flap products are not security or containment devices and do not guarantee pet containment or intruder exclusion.

8. Calls, chats & text messages

We may monitor or record calls and chats for quality, training, and fraud prevention. Where required by law, we provide notice and obtain consent. Recordings are typically retained for up to 3 years unless the law requires longer retention.

If you opt into text messages:

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase

  • Messages may be sent using automated technology

  • Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply

  • Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance

9. Website use & user content

Please use the site lawfully and don’t interfere with its operation.

If you submit reviews, photos, or videos, you grant Endura Flap a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for marketing and display until you request removal. Paid or incentivized endorsements must be disclosed.

Products are intended for end-user use only. Unauthorized resale may void warranties.

10. Disputes, arbitration & liability

California law governs these terms.

Disputes that can’t be resolved informally must be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in San Luis Obispo County, CA, unless eligible for small claims court.

You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions where permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the purchase price of the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages unless required by law.

You may opt out of arbitration by mailing written notice within 90 days of first site use to:

We do not accept service of legal documents via email.

11. Accessibility

We strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. For assistance, contact customerservice@enduraflap.com or call (800) 826-2871.

12. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect as of the “Last Updated” date above.
