How is the Watchdog steel cover different from the standard locking cover? The Watchdog is a heavy steel cover that puts a solid, lockable barrier in front of the opening, best for when you're away or asleep and want absolute certainty that an intruder cannot manipulate the pet door from the outside. The standard Locking Cover is molded ABS: lighter, easy to slide in daily, and ideal for nightly use.
