The Draft Stopper Center Post Weatherstrip seals the gap between your sliding glass door and the pet door panel, blocking the airflow that makes rooms feel colder in winter or warmer in summer. It works with virtually any brand of patio panel pet door, so you can add it to a new panel or use it to improve an existing installation.

Install the draftstopper on the trailing edge of the sliding door, or leading edge of the fixed door, to close the gap between the glass pane and the door frame.

Our foam weatherstripping is heavy-duty self-adhesive foam measuring 1/2" wide x 5/8" thick x 15' long. It's made for the Endura Flap Thermo Panel 3e aluminum frame, creating a weather-tight seal along the edges of the pet door and the sliding door frame to prevent drafts and improve energy efficiency.

The wider foam weatherstrip roll is more compatible with the Endura Flap Vinyl Panels, which have a 1-1/2" thick frame.

Yes. The channel along the frame is designed to hold the self-adhesive foam weatherstripping. If yours is missing or worn out, you can order a replacement length and press it into the groove for a fresh, weather-tight seal.

The Endura Flap seals against the magnetic strips that run down the sides of the frame. If the flap no longer pulls in snug along an edge, the replacement strip magnets restore the side seal. Slide the worn strip out and the new one into the frame channel to bring the flap back to a tight, draft-free close.

Yes. The Additional Magnet Kit increases the magnetic pull that holds the flap shut, which helps in windy locations or for taller flaps that catch a breeze. You can insert up to 2 more magnets inside the clip at the bottom edge of the flap, as well as the floating threshold in the pet door frame, to maximize the magnet attraction and increase the hold when closed.

The Endura Flap's magnets give a firm seal, but they can be too strong for very small or timid pets. You can remove some of the flap magnets to lighten the pull and make the flap easier to push, then add them back later if you need a tighter seal for weather or wind, or when your pet becomes more accustomed to using their pet door.

Yes. The flap bottom retainer and magnets can be ordered separately, so you don't need to replace the whole flap. These pieces secure the bottom of the flap and let the magnet pull it closed for a complete seal.

For drafts on a patio panel, start with the draft stopper at the center post and fresh foam weatherstripping along the frame. If the chill is coming through the flap itself, check to make sure the magnetic seal is functioning as designed. If drafts are getting in during storms or especially strong gusts of wind, consider increasing the magnetic strength of the flap by purchasing the Additional Magnet Kit.
